Woolsery Methodist Church

The ancient Norman Church and the small chapel complement each other and provide spaces for worship and fellowship. In Woolsery the Methodists and Anglicans have worshipped together for more than two decades. The ecumenical covenant has developed from just worshipping together at special services at Christmas and Easter to sharing all services either in the Church or the Chapel.

Sunday worship in Woolsery is well attended and is an important witness within the village. There is always a friendly face at the door and guests and visitors are welcome to join in worship.

Bible study groups and quiet days are held regularly.

Fellowship and outreach are an important part of the rural Church and village life. This often involves food!

Weekly winter soup lunches are served in the Chapel and summer coffee mornings are held in the Church, giving the people of Woolsery a place to meet on a regular basis.

An annual Chapel fundraising Sunday lunch has been served in the community hall for the past 24 years.
